Cowboy Channel’s Big Announcement
The newest documentary that Shawn Davis is starring in is called Cowboy Strong. It was made to help bring the American Cowboy spirit to the viewers. This film contains large compassion for the world of rodeo and the cowboy lifestyle. It will be shown on the Cowboy Channel, which can be found on DirecTV, DISH Network, At&T U-Verse, Charter Spectrum, and other Cox and Comcast systems.
For fans familiar with Davis, they know that he is a three-time PRCA World Champion saddle bronc rider and then he started to become part of the business world of rodeo. He is part of the reason that rodeo became so popular in Las Vegas and all over the world. Davis was also the one who cast the deciding vote to move the National Finals Rodeo to Las Vegas from Oklahoma City. In 1986, he became the general manager of the NFR and still holds that position today.
Cowboy Strong shows how Davis spent his youth riding and trying to get better to commit to a full-time rodeo career. He eventually met the goals that he had for himself and became one of the most popular and awarded riders of his time. The film will also show that he has a passion for horse racing as well as rodeo.
There are plenty of interviews in this documentary as well. You will see Zane Davis, Carl Nafzger, Larry Mahan, Lew Cryer, Scott Stevens, Cody Wright, Cody DeMers, and Karl Stressman. There is also some important insight from Michael Gaughan, who owns the South Point Hotel, Casino, and Spa. The CEO of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Scott Sibella and the COO of MGM and Las Vegas Events President Pat Christenson will share their thoughts on the NFR being brought to Las Vegas and how it has impacted their businesses.
The documentary will share a lot of secrets that most fans were not aware of and it was co-written and produced by Jeff Medders of Geronimo Productions. Mark Milosevich is the producer and director.
